Tri-State Wound Care Center provides a specialized team of doctors and nurses to help those that have a problem wound. A problem wound that does not show significant signs of healing within 2-4 weeks can be considered a chronic, non-healing wound. Featuring hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the center is located in the Tri-State Medical Office Building, 1119 Highland Ave, Suite 7, and is a state-of-the-art center specializing in the treatment of problem wounds. Chronic non-healing wounds that can cause resistance to normal healing include, diabetes, surgical, radiation therapy side effects, burns and traumatic wounds. The addition of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is effective in the treatment of wounds caused by poor circulation, resulting in poor oxygen supply. HBOT greatly increasing the chances of healing. Basic principles behind the approach to treatment utilized at the Wound Care Center to maximize healing include: Treatment referral is necessary through the patients’ primary care physician.
