The Tri-State Hospital Pain Clinic offers many innovative approaches to pain management with a knowledge base optimally suited to define patient needs with appropriate treatment plans. In addition to the medical management of pain, the clinic offers a number of procedural and diagnostic treatments. The Pain Clinic offers a friendly atmosphere staffed with specially trained staff, and is located in our Outpatient Services Department.

Your First Visit
An initial appointment can be made following a physician's referal. You will be sent a comprehensive questionnaire and a letter with brief instructions on how to prepare for your first visit. It is important for you to fill out the questionnaire as completely as possible before mailing it back in the self addressed, stamped envelope that is provided. It assists the staff and physician in understanding your situation more clearly.

On the Day of your Appointment
Remember to bring your completed questionnaire. At the time of your appointment, a complete pain history, medical history and examination will be done by a nurse and the physician. After the examination and careful review of all information, the physician will discuss pain treatment options for you.

The Pain Clinic is not for everyone, however, it is very helpful for many people who suffer chronic pain.
