HOSPICE
Home is where the terminally ill want to be. The Tri-State Hospital Hospice Program helps that happen.
A team of professional and lay volunteers provide care and support for terminally ill patients and their families.
The services Tri-State Hospice provides serve to strengthen the patient-family unit. These services are:
- Pain and Symptom Management
- Personal Care Services
- Skilled Nursing
- Counseling in the Home
- Therapy Services
- Attention to Spiritual Needs
- Respite Care
- Inpatient Care or Continuous Care during a Medical Crisis
- 24-Hour Nurse Availability
- Bereavement Support (individual and group)
The Tri-State Hospice Program continues to provide care for the family after the death through follow-up bereavement visits. Grief support groups are also available to any family member.
Paying For Hospice Care
We will work with you to bill Medicare, Medicaid and/or private health insurance directly for your hospice care.
Hospice care is available as a benefit under Medicare Part A. The Hospice Medicare Benefit is designed to meet the unique needs of patients near the end of life. It provides you and your family with services and support not otherwise covered by Medicare.
