DIALYSIS CENTERS
Tri-State Memorial Hospital’s Renal Dialysis Centers serve patients in Eastern Washington, Northeast Oregon and North Central Idaho.
The demand for renal dialysis has continued to grow since opening the Clarkston center in 1988, leading to an expansion in 2009 with a second location on 21st Street in Lewiston.
Both locations have 12 stations and the capacity to serve 72 patients. The Lewiston Center is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while the Clarkston Center is open Monday through Saturday. There are three patient shifts at each center to provide for patients’ three-time-per-week treatments.
The Renal Center also offers home training and support for peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis. Acute treatments for hospitalized patients are also available.
Social Services and Dialysis
A licensed master level social worker works as part of the health care team in Tri-State Memorial Hospital’s outpatient dialysis units.
Nephrology social work services support and maximize the psychosocial functioning and adjustment of patients who are experiencing End Stage Renal Disease. These services are provided to help relieve the social and emotional stresses resulting from End Stage Renal Disease.
A quarterly pre-education class, Choices, is also provided for new patients and their families who have been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. If you would like to learn more about kidney disease please visit www.kidneydirections.com or www.kidney.org.
We accept visiting dialysis patients. Please click here to download a Visitor’s Dialysis Packet and call the Dialysis Center at 509.758.4656 to arrange a schedule.
